Overall Responsibilities
As a function within the greater Human Resources team, the People Partners’ mission is to serve as change agents, strategic partners, and functional experts, and to foster a culture of inclusion for all Broadies. The People Partner works with both managers and employees to enhance the Broad experience by utilizing our knowledge to advise within our areas of work. With group leaders, we serve as strategic and consultative partners to help enable the achievement of ambitious scientific goals. With all employees, the People Partner coaches and advises on a range of topics, such as personal career development and how best to navigate interpersonal challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides guidance and advice to teams on people management; determines root causes of issues and recommends appropriate plans to optimize talent, structure and culture. 
  • Serves as a coach to develop skills and competencies in managers / leaders. 
  • Acts as an internal consultant by establishing trust and credibility with leaders as a valuable sounding board on organizational and people issues. 
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of each group’s direction and identifies opportunities to contribute to enhancing the group’s capabilities through organizational effectiveness, and appropriate workforce planning. 
  • Provides expertise in facilitating employee relations challenges in a positive and proactive manner by listening, making recommendations, and providing feedback to ensure appropriate resolution and follow through. 
  • Utilizes data and analytics to inform key people decisions and enhance organizational capabilities. Professional Skills

  • Ability to engage, inspire and influence people across diverse groups and levels Experience and Requirements Bachelors Degree preferred; Masters Degree, SHRM-CP or PHR certification a plus 4+ years of progressive HR experience in a HRBP/HR Partner role with knowledge across multiple HR disciplines 
  • Experience in a research institute is highly preferred
